Brookie Fishing
« on: September 12, 2018, 09:01:35 PM »

Anyone getting some end of season Brookie fishing in? I putzed around last night and caught about 10 in about an hour. Biggest being 10" and a few over 7in.

Will be editing the video tomorrow.

I'm not able to get up there before the season closes. Probably will next year, as my wife and I are getting a second car soon. This is my favorite time to fish them.

I wish.  Used to be some brookies down here by me but they haven't been in the river for 15 years or so now.  Sad that the river has become too poluted for them but it still holds bows and browns so I guess it isn't all that bad.

The weekend of the 6th I'm going to Munising for a family wedding. I might fish the Black in Mackinac County, which is open year-round to trout fishing below Peters Creek. Pink salmon and chinooks also.
