Two little walleye at Webber - the current there is bizarre right now - the water is lower than this time last year but it is ripping over the coffer Dam at about twice the speed.  Very tough for me to fish it effectively because of current dragging my line

Fished a large lake w/heavy boat traffic (thus off limits to me in summer w/the tube) this afternoon. It was my first time on this lake. Got one almost-legal largemouth, but broke my line when I was removing the hook. As luck would have it, while I was retying, the wind blew me onto a large weedy hump that comes up to 8' but drops off to 19'. As I turned to head back onto the hump from the deeper water, I had a lite bite that at first I thought I missed. I did hook up though, and landed a 14 1/2" crappie! That's my second-largest ever! A couple dink largemouth and a dink bluegill was all I got besides that. Water temp is down to 58. Had to break out my new neoprenes, which kept me nice and toasty.

Wish I would have seen this last night. I would have swung down. Any luck?

So - I am going to be fishing tonight in the Lyons area, likely going to target some walleye - if any locals are down, I am open to sharing a spot on the river...

Fished Webber today.  Got 2 walleye that I let go and some bass.  Flow is pretty decent but water is clear enough.  Stupid construction guys kept raising and lowering the flood gates and it kept messing with the current.  That plus the crazy wind made it tough to get a proper pass through the hole.  Lots of big chunks of wood floating by as well...
